7 Ways to Celebrate with the Incredibles at Pixar Place in Disney's Hollywood Studios

One thing Disney has always excelled at is putting the magic in the details. Sure, the thrill rides are amazing, the lands are immersive, and the cast members are warm and welcoming. But you really see Disney shine when you realize that nothing is overlooked. They maximize every space of each park to make sure guests are getting the most out of their day at the parks.

And it makes sense. Not everyone can wait in line for the most popular rides at the same time. It’s nice to have small spots around the park where you can occupy kids with no queues.

That’s why when Disney turned Pixar Place at Hollywood Studios into Municiberg, the home of the Incredibles, parents everywhere rejoiced! This is a small section of the park with no rides or attractions, but somehow tons of fun things to do with kids.

The Incredible Celebration won’t last long - it will be gone by September 30, 2019 - so if you’re going to Hollywood Studios, be sure to check out this area of the park with your kids. You’ll honestly lose track of time and have an absolute blast.

Here are 7 ways to make the most of the Incredible Celebration while it lasts!

7 WAYS TO CELEBRATE WITH THE INCREDIBLES AT PIXAR PLACE IN DISNEY’S HOLLYWOOD STUDIOS

My 2 boys (ages 2 and 3) got such a kick out of this area of the park. We’ve recently gotten really into the Incredibles movies again, and honestly almost dressed like them for Halloween last year but I didn’t want to spend the money on costumes. We’ve got the perfect family configuration to be the Incredibles with a girl then 2 boys.

Anyway, there were a few moments in the day at Hollywood Studios when we had some time to kill, so we decided to check out this area of the park I’ve seen all over Instagram!

HOW TO GET THERE

Head toward Toy Story Land, but instead of turning right to go toward Woody and the Toy Story Land sign, keep going straight into what looks like an alley or a dead-end lane. You’ll see signs for Municiberg, the home of the Incredibles!

WHAT TO DO AT THE INCREDIBLE CELEBRATION

1. MEET EDNA MODE

You have the chance to meet Edna and get her autograph as well as see some of her latest designs. This is the only official character meet-and-greet in Pixar Place, so definitely take advantage of it! My 3-year-old likes seeing most characters from afar, but NOT meeting them, so we decided to opt out of this experience, but if your child has an autograph book and loves meeting characters, add this one to your list!

2. HUNT FOR JACK JACK!

One of our favorite pars of the Incredibles 2 movie were all the scenes where Jack Jack is figuring out his powers - especially when he fights the raccoon! We can relate. Our youngest child who just turned two kind of reminds me of Jack Jack. Incredibly (see what I did there) adorable, but definitely a handful.

Anyway, in this section of the park, there are little clues to find the Super Baby who’s gone missing. Look for Jack-Jack-shaped holes through walls, cookie crumbs, footprints, and that pesky raccoon to see if you can find little Jack-Jack.

3. POSE IN FRONT OF THE MURAL WALL

I love that Disney has caught on to the mural wall trend! It makes it so easy to get some fun photo opps that are fun for kids and completely Instagrammable for the moms.

There are actually tons of photo spots inside Pixar Place, but my favorite one is the mural wall with 3 different spots to pose like your favorite Super. Lift up a car like Mr. Incredible, create a force field like Violet, pretend to run like Dash, or get flexible like Mrs. Incredible.

There was a photo pass cast member taking picture of people by that wall for awhile, but that doesn’t mean you can’t also get your own shots on your camera or phone! You can even ask the cast member to take a picture of your crew for you if you all want to pose together.

I personally like to zoom in on Violet’s force field for a gorgeous pink and blue background.

4. EAT A NUM-NUM COOKIE

Remember how they had to bribe Jack Jack throughout the entire movie with those delicious-looking chocolate chip cookies? Well now you can get in on the fun, too. Jack Jack’s Num-Num Cookies are available for purchase at the little bakery stand in Pixar Place.

These cookies are huge, and are almost more like a cake or pie because they’re so deep, so you’ll definitely want to share them. We had 4 people in our group, and we still ended up wrapping up 1/3 of our cookie and putting it in our cooler for later. They’re that big.

And don’t forget to bring wipes. Those chocolate chips melt FAST in the 90 degree Orlando heat.

Make sure to get a fun shot of your cookie against one of the many fun backgrounds before devouring it!

5. INCREDIBLE CELEBRATION DANCE PARTY

The dancing is pretty much non-stop once the party starts! The Super Shindig takes place on the far end of the alley, and you and the kids will get to dance, play games, and interact with the characters. Again, we just watched this from afar because my 3-year-old is not a fan of crowds or loud music, but I think most young kids would really get into this!

It’s an awesome way to get some character interaction without having to wait in a long line.

6. CHECK OUT WALTER WEATHERS

Walter Weathers is the news reporter from the Incredibles, and you can watch him walk around Municiberg making hilarious commentary and interviewing guests. He even got in on some of the picture taking along the mural wall when we were waiting for our turn!

Even if your kids don’t want to be involved in the interviews like mine, it’s just fun to watch him roam the alleyway talking to guests and being generally very entertaining.

7. RELAX IN THE SHADE WITH A SNACK

We all know how long the days can feel at Disney when the afternoon sun is beating down on you. Everyone is sweating, hungry, thirsty, and tired. This is the perfect spot to grab some snacks to share and sit in the shade. There are several tables along one of the walls where families can relax, so we wheeled our stroller over there after getting Key Lime Pie on a Stick and a Num Num Cookie. (There’s also a Frozone Slushie which we didn’t get, but I can imagine it’s very refreshing on a hot day).

The bakery stand has fountain drinks, which means it’s one of the spots you can request a cup of ice cold water for free. We asked for a few and poured them into our water bottles to the kids could drink the water without spilling.

Honestly, The Incredible Celebration is one of my new favorite spots in the park, and I’m really sad to see that it will be gone at the end of summer! The good news, though, is that I know Hollywood Studios (and just Disney in general) probably has some amazing ideas in store.

Don’t forget about some of the amazing changes coming to Hollywood Studios later this year:

  • Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is the new Star Wars-themed land coming in August of 2019. Start rewatching all the Star Wars movies now!

  • Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will be the very first ride featuring Mickey and Minnie in Disney’s history! It will be in the Chinese Theater and will drop you right inside one of the hilarious new Mickey Mouse Cartoon Shorts. From what I’ve seen, the animation and music will be unparalleled.

  • A table-service barbecue restaurant will be coming to Toy Story Land soon. It will continue to immerse guests into the toys’ world, so of course you’ll be surrounded by toys and game pieces.

  • Skyline transportation, a gondola with cabins that fit 10 passengers each, will be available soon. It will travel between Epcot, Hollywood Studios, and 4 Disney Resorts.

With all these amazing details and new additions, Hollywood Studios is quickly becoming one of our favorite parks!
